SilverHawks was a short-lived animated television series beginning in the Fall of 1986; 65 episodes were produced.

The story is set in the 26th-century in a galaxy called Limbo.
Limbo is under attack by the alien Mon*Star (who rides a giant “space-squid”).
Five Earthlings transform into part-metal and part-human superheroes.
The SilverHawks travel to the Limbo galaxy and battle with Mon*Star and his cronies.

Despite the cartoon’s short run, SilverHawks action figures were made and other merchandise, such as this electronic toothbrush, sold as well.
