Fenway Park: Home to Boston Red Sox Turns 100

On April 20, 1912, Fenway Park became the new home of the Boston Red Sox.

The team opened the park with their first home game of the season by playing the New York Highlanders (soon to become the Yankees).
John F. Fitzgerald, Boston’s then-mayor, threw out the first pitch.
The Sox went on to win the game 7 to 6.

One hundred years later, the ballpark is still home to the Red Sox.
This week’s My Vintage Video is a tribute to the ballyard.
