Andy Warhol Campbell’s Soup Can Bowl

A friend of Andy Warhol’s once said the pop artist painted Campbell Soup cans because he liked soup.
Warhol must have really liked soup because he painted a lot of cans!

Warhol started painting the iconic red and white design in the early 1960s.
He painted dozens of variations of the soup can theme.
The image on this soup bowl is taken from the painting Big Torn Campbell Sop Can (Pepper Pot), 1962.
