Saturday night one of the most popular candy bars in the entire universe will be handed out to trick or treaters. It’s the Milky Way!
Now when I was a kid I always traded my Milky Ways (or gave them to my mom!). I didn’t like them.
Well, a couple weeks ago I was craving chocolate and the only candy on hand were Milky Ways; reluctantly I had one.
WOW kids, Milky Ways are GOOD!! I’ve gone through half my life thinking I didn’t like them and I do. I do like milky ways.
The Milky Way was created in 1923 by Frank C. Mars. It’s name was taken from the Milky Way galaxy. It’s taste was inspired by chocolate-malt milkshakes, which were popular at the time.
The candy bar was an instant success. In 2005 alone, Americans ate more than 200 million of these chocolate-nougat, caramel bars. Millions more will be handed out in just one night — Happy Halloween!
